Early Intervention

Early intervention is the process of providing specialist treatment and support services for a person who needs them, either early in life or in the development of a health issue. By acting quickly, the onset and progression of diseases, many of them chronic, can be slowed and patient outcomes improved. As a result, early intervention has the potential to impact the long-term sustainability of healthcare by reducing the severity of disease.
